Hey lovely yarn friends,
First off – I want to say a big, heartfelt sorry for the radio silence recently. I know a few of you have been waiting for updates, patterns, and cosy crochet vibes.
The truth is, this past month has been a really tough one. My fibromyalgia has been flaring big time – constant dizziness, brain fog that makes even the simplest things feel like climbing a mountain, and that relentless, deep pain that just doesn’t let up. I haven’t even been able to crochet – and that’s saying something, because crochet is usually my comfort and therapy rolled into one.
Not being able to move properly, think clearly, or create anything has been incredibly frustrating. It’s hard when your body says, “stop” – especially when your heart is bursting with ideas and your hands are itching to pick up a hook.
But despite the challenges, I did manage a few small victories that I’m
proud of – and I wanted to share them with you 🧶💛
✨ What I Did Manage This Month:

🐝 The Bee Pattern is LIVE!
I released the sweetest little bee pattern – and the best part? It’s completely FREE for a
limited time. So if you haven’t grabbed it yet, don’t wait! Buzz over and download it while it’s still available 🐝💛

👕 My Summer Bamboo Jumper
At the start of the month, I finished one of my many wips, a gorgeous summer jumper using 100% bamboo yarn – and oh my goodness, it’s SO soft and light. I’m genuinely in love with it and can’t wait to wear it on my upcoming holiday. It feels like the perfect blend of handmade and breezy.

🐔 End-of-Year Teacher Gifts (sort of!)
While I wasn’t able to make the end-of-year teacher gifts I had planned, I had made a few in advance – and my daughters were still able to take a little handmade chicken each, paired with a thank you card, to their favourite teachers. It’s the little things sometimes, isn’t it?
Even though it's been hard, these small moments of making and creating reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.
I’ve recently purchased a gadget that I’m hoping will help me manage my symptoms and ease me back into the swing of things. It’s still early days, so I can’t say for sure if it’s helping yet — but once I’ve had more time with it, I’ll write a post to share my honest experience.
The gadget is a Visible arm band (this is a referral link for £15 off, if you’re curious!). If any of you have tried it or are currently using it, I’d love to hear your thoughts — feel free to share in the comments below.
So what’s next? Over the coming weeks, I’m hoping to:

🧵 Release a brand new crochet pattern + tutorial for the Anna Shawl – a soft, textured piece I’ve been dreaming up for a while now.
📱 Be a little more active on socials and share more behind-the-scenes bits as I gently get back into creating.
💡 And… I’ve got so many new ideas bubbling away that I can’t wait to share with you soon.
Thank you so much for sticking with me – for your patience, your kindness, and all your messages of support. Whether you’re here for the patterns, the stories, or a bit of both – I’m so grateful you’re part of this yarn-loving corner of the internet.
We rest, we recharge, and then we create again – in our own time.
Sending gentle hugs and yarny love,
Louise
